CHARITIES HELPED

Over more than 30 years during which the carol concert has been held at The Hexagon, the profits have been donated to various charities. Most years,a proportion goes to support one of the Mayor's nominated charities. The remainder is distributed by the concert organisers amongst local charities or charities with a local presence here in Reading.
The total funds distributed is in excess of £220,000

The income from the 2011 concert will be distrivuted to the following two charities:
* fsid - giving babies the chance of a lifetime
* Macmillan Cancer support
